Football culture archive

New football-culture posts now sit above the restored WittyFutty archive. Playable media in new posts comes only from reviewed official publishers; historical pages stay at the addresses on which they first appeared.

How sources and the archive are handled

  • Pages are restored at their original addresses. Nothing is redirected to the homepage.
  • Where the original write-up was recovered, it is republished with the old theme, share widgets and trackers stripped out. The wording is not modernised and the tense is not changed.
  • Where only the headline, date and source were recovered, the page says that plainly rather than filling the gap with invented copy.
  • WittyFutty does not own or host match footage. Archive pages use a working official source or a clearly labelled report or match-context link.
  • When the old source has been removed, WittyFutty does not use a mirror. It either links a reviewed official or publisher source, or makes the page self-contained without media.
  • New playable media is limited to official club, league, federation or rights-holder channels reviewed before publication. It loads only after a click through the platform's own player.
  • WittyFutty does not download, hotlink or host third-party video, GIFs, thumbnails or frames. If an official embed stops working, the page falls back to its text and source link.

More pages will be added as the original copy is recovered. If you believe a page here is wrong, or you hold rights in something linked from it, the corrections and source-media page explains how those cases are handled.

  • Official source playable Official source playable. The video is on a reviewed official publisher's channel and loads only after a reader asks for it.
  • Rewritten without media Rewritten without media. The old clip was not safely replaceable, so the page is now self-contained and makes no third-party media request.
  • Source still published Source still published. The linked source, report or match context was responding in the source review; critical replacement links are also health-checked.
