Gareth Southgate explains Joe Gomez injury!

Gareth Southgate has explained in detail about Joe Gomez serious injury in England's training.

Liverpool season is falling apart and it's only November. Van Dijk was injured after a horrible tackle from Pickford. Fabinho got injured not long ago and now Joe Gomez has suffered a serious injury.

England national team was training regularly on Wednesday and Joe Gomez got hurt. That's why Gareth Southgate decided to speak up on the matter.

As reported by Mirror football, he had this to say about Joe Gomez injury.

"I can’t tell you how serious it is because he’s yet to have scans,” said England boss Gareth Southgate. What was upsetting was to see him in a fair bit of pain.

"The fact was there was nobody around him when the injury happened. I didn't like that element of it. We just have to wait and see what the scans show. We are all hopeful for him that it's not what it might be.

"My immediate thoughts are with him because he has had some difficulty with injury in the past. We are hoping as much as we possibly can and praying that it's not going to be a long-term one but we'll just have to see."

It seems that Gomez has suffered a serious knee injury and he will likely be out for the rest of the season or at least a good chunk of it.

It's a horrible blow for Liverpool and their title defense as their two best defenders are probably going to miss the rest of the season.

Klopp has argued that the fixture schedule is too congested and that there should be 5 substitutes, but nothing has changed.

The weird thing about it is that Gomez's injury doesn't have anything to do with too much playing as this happened in practice. It could have happened anytime.
