Method

The plan is drawn to scale from the length and width you enter, using the marking dimensions for the format you chose.

  • The diagram is an SVG with a text alternative, so it can be read by a screen reader and printed without loss of quality.
  • Dimension labels are rendered as text in the diagram and repeated in the table beneath it.
  • The diagonal check is the square root of length squared plus width squared. Both diagonals of a correctly set out pitch match it.

Assumptions

  • The plan shows the field of play only. Run-off, technical areas and spectator lines are not drawn.
  • Goals are shown at the goal width for the format, at the goal line.
  • For 11 v 11 and custom sizes the marking dimensions are the fixed IFAB Law 1 values.
  • For 9 v 9, 7 v 7 and 5 v 5 the internal marking dimensions are WittyFutty planning defaults, not official competition dimensions.

Limits of this tool

Pitch sizes and markings are set by the competition you play in. Check the current IFAB Laws of the Game and your league or county FA handbook before you mark out.

A plan produced here is not a statement that your pitch satisfies any competition's requirements. Check the handbook for the competition you are marking for.
