Unai Emery thinks that Takefusa Kubo is very similar to this former Premier League player!
It has been a good start to a new season for Unai Emery as he has lead Villarreal to current second place in the league.
Emery had a disastrous second season at Arsenal that saw him get sacked, but he has bounced back in style at Villarreal.
Speaking for Cadena Ser's El Laguero, Emery had this to say about Real Madrid loanee Takefusa Kubo.
"With us, Kubo can go through the proper growing process. I am happy with him. He is participating and playing well with us. I want Kubo’s growth the same way that I want Fer Nino or Baena’s growth.
"Kubo has similar characteristics to David Silva. He is improving little by little as he arrives in the area for the final pass."
Kubo is certainly one of the most perspective players in La Liga. Barca made a big mistake by not signing him before Real given that they had him in their youth ranks for four years.

It seems that Kubo is destined to succeed and will likely become an important part of future Real Madrid's team.
Given how the financial crisis from COVID has affected Real, it seems that he is going to get his chance to shine next season.
