Gattuso with honest admission about Milan!

Gattuso

Gennaro Gattuso with an honest admission at AC Milan after another setback against Empoli!

Gattuso doesn’t think highly about Milan.

Empoli and Milan played out entertaining match that ended without a winner.

It ended 1-1, as neither of the team could win.

Milan was the better team, but a costly mistake by Romagnolli and fantastic keeping by Empoli’s keeper got Empoli a valuable point.

When the match ended, Milan’s manager Gattuso talked about the match and his team.

As reported in Football Italia, he had this to say.

“Once again we are here talking about an unlucky outcome, but we must look forward and work on our finishing. When you systematically make a few too many errors, a little confidence does fall away and we can’t deny that. We’ve got to focus.

“We are not a great team and we are not efficient. We have to grow, whittle down some errors and work hard. If we keep playing like this, then sooner or later the results will come.”

Harsh words from Gattuso, but he is right. This Milan team isn’t great, well not yet.

“We are not a great team!”

They have the right players, but are lacking in cohesion, while the tactics aren’t great either.

There were questions raised when Gattuso was appointed as a Milan manager. He did all right to stabilize the club last season, but he hasn’t moved the team forward this season.

Editors’ picks:

Given that Milan is in lower part of the table, there’s a big chance that Gattuso will have to leave the post quite soon.

There are plenty of managers out there waiting, as Milan deserves to be a lot closer to the top than they are now.
