Monchi gives Alisson Becker update!

Roma’s director of football, Monchi, gave his update regarding Alisson Becker and Liverpool!

Monchi with a crucial update!

Alisson Becker is the most sought after goalkeeper this summer.

Everyone wants to sign him, but Liverpool has beaten everyone to his signature.

It’s not that they were quick, but they offered the most money of them all. A world record fee, in fact.

It is reported that Liverpool lodged in something like €70 million bid, which is just nuts, if you think about it.

Given that there has been a lot of smoke regarding Alisson’s potential transfer, Monchi has now created some fire too.

Monchi gave a telling update regarding Alisson Becker.

“We haven’t finalized anything yet [with Alisson]. But it is true that the negotiations are advanced and he’s over in Liverpool now.

“When a very substantial offer comes in, you have to consider it. We weighed up the pros and cons and decided to speak to Liverpool.”

This all but confirms Liverpool’s signing of Alisson Becker for a world record fee.

“Negotiations are advanced and he’s over in Liverpool now!”

To be honest, it would be crazy for Roma to turn the transfer down, given the money involved. They signed him for “only” 8 million and are now selling him, a year and a half later, for around €70 million.

A brilliant bit of business.

Both parties will be happy, as Liverpool will get the “hottest” goalkeeper in the world, while Roma will become rich in return.

Liverpool looks very ambitious indeed, despite them doing the opposite than Klopp was saying, they are building a formidable team that might get right to the top.

So, Monchi has confirmed Alisson’s move to Liverpool, which will make the Brazilian the most expensive goalkeeper in the world.

Who knew that this would happen a year and half before, when Alisson was signing for Roma, through the back door.
