South Korea’s keeper Cho Hyun Woo had some heartbreaking words to say after their win against Germany in the World Cup!
Cho Hyun Woo helped his team to a historic win over Germany, but it wasn’t enough.
Like Germany, South Korea has been eliminated from this World Cup.
South Korea won the match, but it wasn’t enough as Mexico and Sweden both beat them.
Germany was deservedly knocked out, as they showed the least out of all the teams in their group and even finished last in the group.
When the match between South Korea and Germany ended, Korea’s keeper Hyun Woo had an emotional interview.
“Right after the match ended, I honestly had thought we had advanced to the Round of 16 and it brought tears to my eyes that this was the end.”
A really sad experience from the keeper, who made one spectacular save and was just great against Germany. He thought that Korea got through to the next round, as he didn’t know that Sweden beat Mexico 0-3.

If Mexico would beat Sweden 3-0, than South Korea would progress to the next round, but that didn’t happen.
A bitter-sweet victory for South Korea, who created one of the biggest upsets in the World Cup history and took out the defending World Cup champions Germany.
South Korea and Germany are going home, while Sweden will now play against Switzerland, and Mexico will play against Brazil.
